Family Life

Shivam Pratap Singh belongs to Kashipur and he is originally from Jaspur’s Mahuwadbara. He has given four years of his life to the preparation for CSE. He used to study 10 hours a day in order to gain success in this exam.

His father Rajiv Chauhan is a Division Engineer at BSNL in Udham Singh Nagar. His father is also a resident of Housing Development at Kashipur. His mother Rashmi Thakur is a Head Master in Ginnikhheda Primary School. He also has an elder sister. His sister Shivali Singh is an MBBS from Srinagar.

His family is very well educated and supported him in his journey. As this is a very long journey so the support of your family is the primary thing you will need in the preparation. His family played a major role in supporting him during his struggle. You will face a number of ups and downs but your family and friends can help you to a large extent.

Educational Life

He completed his primary education from Army Public School at Hempur Depot. After this, he moved to another school and completed his schooling from Delhi School. He was a science student in his school. So after completing her schooling, he opts for Engineering. He pursued his engineering from College of Technology at Pantnagar. He completed his engineering in 2013.

History- Spectrum modern India
Economics – Sriram notes or Ramesh Singh
Geography – GC Leong or NCERT for physical, India’s NCERT for physical and resources.
Environment- Shankar ias
Current- Newspaper and vision current affair.
Always revise whatever you read before you appear for the examination.
Try to attempt as many mock tests as possible. You can also follow insights test series.
Also, go through from the previous year papers. Previous year papers will help you to know about the exam pattern and the types of questions you will have to attempt.
Make your mindset positive. Imbibe it in your mind that UPSC is making question paper to make you solve it. This will help you dominate the question papers.
It is very difficult to get exact answers to more than 40 questions. In rest of the questions, try to make as intelligent guesses as possible.

Main Examination Preparation

Main requires the art of writing answers to check your knowledge. Writing long answers is basically difficult for engineering students because their mind is trained to think objectively. The solution to this problem starts practicing your answers before the exam. Answer writing is a process of gathering knowledge so don’t try to gather knowledge first, write your answer and then compare it with the model answers.
