The Journey of Sangh Priy
Sangh Priy secured the 92nd rank in the toughest examination of India i.e. Civil Services Examination. We all know the importance of general studies or the current affairs in the exam. The role of current affairs is very vital. So it is very important to prepare well for general studies. Sangh Priy took the coaching for general studies from Vajiram & Ravi coaching institute. He used to attend the class regularly & made the proper notes of the subject. It is impossible to cover the entire syllabus from a single place. So you have to make your notes from the multiple sources. No coaching institute can provide you the entire information it is your duty to find other information & combine them in your notes. The preparation of CSE is incomplete without reading a newspaper. You have to read a newspaper daily to stay updated with the current affairs. Not only will this you have to read a monthly magazine also this tell you about all the recent policies made by the government.
The main key to any preparation is the revision. So revise your notes after regular interval of time. Always makes notes from the study material & revise them regularly. Start your preparation with the basic things after then move to the difficult ones. It is important for you to change your preparation strategy according to the time. According to the demand of the subject make your strategy & follow it. Make your notes in simple language so that it will be easy for you to remember them. After making a strategy or plan stick to it & follow the plan regularly.

Prelims Strategy
The strategy for prelims which Sangh Priy used to follow during the UPSC CSE preparation is discussed below.
Start your preparation by covering the entire syllabus from the study material which is suitable for you. You can choose the study material according to your comfortability. You should clear the basic concepts of the subject. You should crisp & clear with all the topics.
After covering the entire syllabus next thing you have to do is to attempt some test series. Attempt as many test series as you can. There are various online sources available which will prove you the online test series.
After attempting the test series add the information from the test papers to your notes. You will always found some additional information whenever you give any test. So keep updating your notes. And keep revising the notes again & again.
If you are not able to solve any question in the test series then go thoroughly your notes, read that topic again. Read the topic from a new perspective which you have missed earlier. This will definitely help you to improve the quality of your answer.
While giving the examination, first attempt the questions which you are sure about. Always start attempting the paper from the questions you know. Then move to the question in which you are confused between two options to choose an option relevantly & eliminate the other one. You have to attempt these questions very smartly.
If after doing all the above things you are not able to score well in the exam then you should definitely work on your knowledge. You should focus on the clarity of concepts.
Mains Examination Strategy
For the mains preparation, you should read the syllabus of mains at least once before the prelims examination. And if you have relevant time then join the test series for mains exam at least before the 6 months. You can stop attempting the test series when 2 months for prelims are remaining. At that time you have focused on prelims.
Attempt the test series to get an idea about the exam pattern & to improve your writing skills. You should prepare well so that you can attempt all the questions in the main examination.
While reading the study material highlight or underline the important keywords or phrases. And at the time of revision at least go through them. Underline the important facts & the data & use them in your answer to make the quality of your answer better.
If you don’t know how to phrase a good answer then go read the answer of some toppers. Go through their answers, saw the pattern of their answer & start working on your answer writing skills.
