Family Background
She comes from a middle class family. She does not have a good financial support but her family always supported her during her preparation. She is the only child, she has no siblings. She was born and brought up in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Being a single child she has a lot of burden to make her career successful.
Her father is a retired executive engineer at the department of state agriculture. He always motivated her daughter towards the civil services. Her mother is a house wife and she has been a fine support for her during her preparation.
She has a dream to become an IAS officer from her younger age. She wants to become an IAS officer because she wants to do something for the education of our country. She was totally surprised after seeing her on the list of top rankers.
It was like a dream come true for her, she was also happy as she is one of the top rankers so she will be able to join her hometown as her cadre. She did not have to relocate anywhere. She did a lot of hard work, she used to study 5 to 6 hours a day.

Educational Background
She is a residence of Tamil Nadu so, she completed her education from Tamil Nadu. She completed her schooling in Coimbatore. She got 94% marks in her Xth standard. And later on she opted for science in her 12th standard. She has secured 98% marks in her 12th standard.
After completing her schooling she decides to move to Chennai for further studies. She had done her graduation in Electronics & Communications from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University.
She decides to go for civil services when she was doing her graduation. After doing her graduations she first attempted for civil services examination.

Optional Paper
Charusree T choose Geography as her optional subject in civil services exam. She used to study geography at Shankar IAS Academy. She also studies geography at T.I.M.E in Chennai. She used to study 6 to 7 hours daily. She used to read The Hindu and NCERT books for general studies.

Attempts
She has given two attempts in CSE but got selected as an IAS in her second attempt. But she was surprised when come to know that she has secured a prestigious rank all over India. She had done a lot of hard work to become an IAS officer. According to her IAS gives a chance to a person to do something for the people and the country.
When she was first attempted civil services examination, she cleared the exam but unfortunately, her rank was not that good. At that time she has secured 749th rank and she got selected for IFS. But she joined IFS.
She again started preparing for CSE while she was doing her job at IFS. It was tough for her but she prepared for the exam again and gave the exam. This time she made her dream true by not only clearing the exam but got a high rank.
She also said that “Civil services, and in particular the IAS, give a person a chance to be in the thick of things and to be able to be an agent of change”.

Strategy
According to her your strategy plays an important role in your preparation to achieve success. The strategy she used to follow is discussed below.
Smart Work
Smart work will help you to achieve your target at a specific time. You have to act smartly while doing your preparation, smart work not only means to work smart. It means think smart, act smart, choose smartly.
Try to write your notes in bullet points rather than in a paragraph. This will help you to remember things better.
Patience
Patience is very important thing. It will lead you to an achievement. You have to be patient throughout your preparation. If you are not able to clear the exam in your some attempts then do not lose your patience. Learn from your previous mistakes and grow yourself by working on them.
Tamil Nadu Women
Charusree said that there are few women who are able to clear the exam because there is a lack of exposure and also the people of Tamil Nadu prefer to opt for other professions. Especially in Tamil Nadu women prefer to get a secure or cozy job like It or software sector. Women try not to venture into rough and tumble of administrative work.
