Koya Shree Harsha: 2017 UPSC Topper, AIR 6

The result of UPSC Civil Services Examination 2017 is out. This year’s result again came with some brilliant toppers.

The first rank is secured by an IRS Officer Anudeep Durishetty.

While a married woman Anu Kumari secured 2nd rank because for her hard work & dedication.

The third & fourth rank is secured by Sachin Gupta & Atul Prakash respectively. Another topper in the top five list is Pratham Kumar. The sixth rank is secured by Koya Shree Harsha.

The Journey of Koya Shree Harsha

Harsha belongs to a small place in Telangana i.e. Khammam. He has secured 6th rank in the UPSC by preparing on his own. His journey from a small town boy to an IAS officer is not easy but he never gets disheartened and never stops doing hard work. That is why he had achieved his dream.

Harsha decided to prepare for CSE when he was doing his graduation. After completing his graduation he started doing the preparation for CSE on his own. He didn’t go for any coaching classes for his preparation. Instead of going to any coaching center he prepares in his home with the help of online available sources like insights. He also read the NCERT books to get a basic idea about the topics. He attended many mock tests & test series. Attending test series will give a brief idea about the exam.

Educational Qualification

Koya completed his schooling from St Francis de Sales High School at Khammam. As he is a resident of Khammam so he completed his schooling from there. After that, he planned to do engineering. He had completed his B. Tech. in production & Industrial Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur. To pursue his passion he moved to Jamshedpur & completed his engineering.

After completing his engineering he got a job & he is currently working with a multinational company in Hyderabad. Despite being in a company he goes for CSE to do something for the betterment of the society.

This year 990 people from entire country got selected & recruited in Civil Services. There are many other candidates who belong to Telangana & cleared the examination. Narapureddy Maurya got 100th rank, G. Madhuri got 144th rank, Vivek Jhonson secured 195th rank, Yedavali Akshay Kumar got 624th rank & Bhargav Shekhar secured 816th rank.

These were some of the candidates who made their parents proud by clearing the examination.
Another candidate Surabhi Gautam a son of a collector of Kamareddy has secured 393rd rank & made his parents proud.
