Saumya is another example which inspires the many young aspirants. She cracked the exam in her first attempt while she was also doing her Engineering. She got AIR 4 rank and becomes the national topper of our country.

FAMILY BACKGROUND
She comes from a well-educated family. Her parents were also well educated and made her focused on her studies and career. When she decided to prepare for Civil Services Examination, they supported her and never put a pressure on her to work in any company.
Her mother Dr. Sadhana Pandey is a gynecologist and motivated her to believe in herself. She always taught her daughter to be confident about what she is doing and what she wants from her career. Her father Dr. Ravi Pandey owns a computer institute in Allahabad.
She was born and brought up in Allahabad, she is the only child of her parents so she is very attached to her parents. She is a type of child who doesn’t like to go anywhere, she likes to stay at her home and spend time with her parents.
She is also a trained Kathak dancer. She was interested in dancing and her parents joined her a dancing institute. She used to learn dance from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. She is very extrovert. She always wants to know behind the scenes. She is a brilliant student from her younger days.
She was not only good at studies but also interested in co-curricular activities. She was a very good basketball player. And she was the captain of her school. Her aim is to become a civil servant and serve the nation her best. She wants to do something for women.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
She was interested in her studies and she lived in Allahabad so, she completed her studies from Allahabad also. She was a brilliant student in her school. She completed her schooling at Army School, where she was the District Topper in her school.
She got 98% in her 10th class and becomes the district topper. Again she repeated this getting 97.8% in her 12th and get the crown of district topper.
After completing her schooling she wants to pursue Engineering, so she prepared for IIT mains but unfortunately, she doesn’t make it. But her rank was good so, she got admission at MNNIT. She completed her Electrical Engineering from MNNIT (Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology). She repeated her performance in her college also and was the gold medalist of her college in 2015.
While she was pursuing Engineering, she decided to prepare for UPSC and join a coaching institute for her preparation. Coaching classes helped her a lot during her preparation. She opted geography as her optional subject.

STRUGGLE
When she was doing her Engineering, she has an aim to serve the nation and to complete her dream she started preparing for UPSC in her last year. She was totally in a different field, as no other family member ever prepared for the Civil Services Examination. She does not have a knowledge about anything. She doesn’t know what is important or what is not. But she never gave up.
She cleared the exam but also got a gold medal in her Engineering. So her first challenge was to find what she will need during her preparation. So she decided to join coaching classes in order to prepare for the examination. Coaching classes helped her to know what to study, what she needs during her preparation. It also helped her preparing strategies for her exams.
She is a motivation to all young aspirants. She prepared during her studies and cleared the exam in her first attempt. She had done a lot of hard work to achieve the success she wants. She has given Uttar Pradesh as her first choice of cadre as it will be challenging for her to relocate anywhere.

STRATEGY
Everyone follows some strategy to achieve anything. Every plan has a strategy. So, the strategy she followed is:
1. Hard Work
Hard work is the key to success, and she believed in it. She never stopped doing hard work. She believes that if she will do the correct things in the right direction, she can achieve whatever she wants. If you want to achieve your dream you have to do hard work. Your dream doesn’t become reality through magic, you have to do efforts to achieve your dreams.
2. Time Management
Time management is the thing which builds you and destroys you also. If you will manage your time correctly you can build your dream, but if you go in the wrong direction then you will be near destroying your dream.
So, make a timetable and follow it. Try to manage time as smartly as you can. Every morning make a plan of the activities of your day and follow that plan. This will guide you to your dreams.
3. Stay Focused
You have to be focused on your preparation. When you are focused on something, then it will be easier for you to achieve it. You have to focus on your journey of preparation.
