Early Life
She comes from a brilliant family where everyone gives importance to education. Her family was supported during her preparation. When she decided to go for CSE her family supported her decision and let her start he journey towards her dream.
Her father Mohanlal Gupta was also a government officer. He was working as a Director at Ministry of Rural Development. He always supported her daughter in her career. Her mother Priyamvada is a housewife. But she inspired her daughter throughout the journey. Her mother always supported her. She has been an inspiration to her.
When media person asked her to give suggestions to all the candidates who are preparing for UPSC she said that “I just want to say to all the aspirants that do not get tense”. She also added, “UPSC wants to know from the candidates why they want to join the civil services and for that, it is very much necessary that a candidate should have a clear concept about it”.
According to her to clear the exam you must remain motivated throughout your journey. She said, “Motivation is of two types, external motivation, and internal motivation and it is very important that a candidate should be motivated from inside so that one can fully concentrate on their preparation for the exam”.

Educational Background
She is a perfect Delhite. She was born and brought up in Delhi. She is a brilliant student since her school days. She is very extrovert. She is always interested in her studies. She loves to do study. She always tries to gain knowledge from wherever she can.
She did her schooling from Oxford School, at Vikashpuri, Delhi. After completing her 10th standard she opted for science. She was also a brilliant science student. She is very interested in Physics. So, after completing her schooling she opted for Engineering.
She completed her engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology at Dwarka, New Delhi. She was a good student at her college also.
She decided to prepare for UPSC when she was doing her engineering but later on, she attempted the Civil Services Examination and made everyone proud.

Nidhi secured 1025 marks and got 3rd rank. She is now one of the national toppers. Her scores are as follow:

Struggle
She was a consistent performer. She attempted Civil Services Examination 5 times but never get disheartened by her failures. She always learned from her mistakes. She said you have to be dedicated if you want to clear the exam. She also had to face some failures but she never stops doing hard work.
She was the only one from her family who decided to go for civil services. Her brother was doing a job as a financial advisor. So, she had no idea about the exam. She gave the exam 4 times before 2014 but she didn’t get selected for IAS.
In 2013 when she gave the exam, luckily she got selected but as an Indian Revenue Services (IRS), but her dream was an IAS officer so how can she settle for less. She was doing a job at a software company when she applied for leave to prepare for UPSC.
She again starts doing preparation for UPSC and this time she got selected as an IAS officer and made her dream reality. She always wanted to become an IAS officer, and she climbs every difficulty during her path.
When she was in college, she thought of going for civil services but as for financial stability she took a placement and started doing a job at a company. But later on, she felt that this is not what she wants, the job was not satisfactory for her. So, she took a leave and started preparing for Civil services.

Strategy
She used to follow some strategies to achieve her dreams. She made a strategy which was satisfactory to her. The strategy she told everyone to follow is:
Discipline
To achieve any objective you have to be disciplined so that you can achieve your goal in a specific time period. Discipline will help you to complete your day to day tasks regularly on time. Discipline is the path between your dreams and accomplishments.
So, always stay disciplined while preparing for UPSC. You have to make a timetable for your studies and follow it regularly. Be disciplined. If you are a disciplined person then you can achieve your goals easily in a specific time.
Self – satisfaction
You have to satisfied with what you are doing. If you are satisfied with your activities then you will stay motivated and dedicated towards your goal.
You have to be satisfied from the efforts you are making. So always be satisfied with your journey and stay motivated.
Dedication
Dedication is something which will lead you to your achievements. Be dedicated towards the correct things. Do not waste your time. Give as much as time you can give to your preparation.
If you believe yourself and have dedication then you will achieve your dreams.
