Every year UPSC conducts civil services examination for the recruitment of various civil services like Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), and Indian Revenue Services (IRS) etc. The result of UPSC Civil Services Examination was declared in May. This year result came with some interesting stories of toppers.
Anudeep Durishetty an IRS Officer secured 1st rank & becomes the topper of CSE 2017. 2nd rank is secured by Anu Kumari who started her career after her marriage. Sachin Gupta has secured 3rd rank with his dedication & hard work.

Family Background
She has secured 41st rank in CSE 2017 by her dedication and hard work. She comes from a well- educated family. She was born and brought up in Guwahati, Assam. She has seen her family members working hard for the betterment of the country which inspired her to go for civil services to do some contribution for the improvement of the society.
Her father is a retired civil servant, he has dedicated his entire life for the civil services. Her mother is a social worker, she always helped her to achieve her goals. Her younger sister is an IPS officer. Her sister has cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2016 and got recruited in IPS.
Not only this, Bipasha is a married woman. She decided to make her career after marriage and her family and her husband always supported her decision for the civil services. Her husband is currently working in a corporate sector.

Educational Qualification
She was born and brought up in Assam. She completed her schooling from a school in the Guwahati, Assam. She got 86% in her 10th standard. She is a brilliant student since her school days. She has secured 92% in the 12th class.
After completing her schooling, she opted for B. A. She had done B. A. (Honors) in Economics from Hansraj College, Delhi University. She has secured 61% marks in her graduation. After completing her graduation she goes for higher studies. She had done M.A. in Economics from Christ University.

Answer Writing Strategy
While writing an answer in mains you must consider the following points:
- Read questions quickly & carefully.
- Mark out questions you know least about.
- Keep the introduction & the conclusion limited. 2 lines for each thing should be fine.
- Includes facts & figures in your answer. Mentioning facts is the smartest way to start an answer in General Studies.
- Use keyword & adjectives in your answer.
- Draw diagrams wherever possible.
- Write the answer body in bullet points.
- Highlight the important points of your answer.
- At the end give suggestions & sum up your answer.

Everyone has to work smartly to achieve success in short span of time. So you have to work smartly with your strategy. The strategy Anmol followed during his preparation are discussed below.
Smart Work
Nowadays everyone is getting smarter day by day so, you have to act smartly with your work also. You have work smartly and as effectively you can. He believed in doing smart work. He also said that in this exam smart work is very important as the syllabus is very huge. So you have to break it down into smaller chunks in order to remember things you’ve read.
By smart work, you can also achieve good or excellent guessing skills which will be needed for your exam. He worked smartly by breaking the syllabus into smaller parts and revise them one by one. So, work smartly and achieve your goals.
Time Management
It is very important key during your preparation. It will help you to know what is to be done or what not to be. He used to make a timetable for his preparation and follows it. So, you too make a timetable and stick to it. Give time to your studies as well as to your health also.
Read NCERT & Newspaper
If you want to get knowledge of something these are the best two ways you can get effective knowledge. Make notes from NCERT books in bullet points, you can remember them easily. NCERT books are the best ways to gain knowledge.
Read a newspaper daily and make short notes of important news. This will help you to remember and gain knowledge.
