Ashima Jain: 2017 UPSC Topper, Rank 12

UPSC has declared the final result of Civil Services Examination 2017. Anudeep Durishetty topped the examination & secured 1st rank. On the other hand, Anu Kumari has secured 2nd rank. The third rank is secured by Sachin Gupta.
Atul Prakash stands at fourth place while Pratham Kaushik secured 5th rank.

Anudeep is currently is working in the Indian Revenue Services (IRS), his favorite subject is history. Anu Kumari cracks a myth of the society. As she started her career after her marriage & she has a 2-year-old child. She remains focused during her entire preparation & made her career successful.

The 10th rank is of Abhishek Surana who belongs to Bhilwara. Another different journey comes this year with Mudit Jain who opted a reverse strategy & move to IRS from IPS.

The Journey of Ashima Mittal

Ashima is a very simple girl & she belongs to Jaipur. She was born & brought up in Jaipur. Her mother Namita Mittal is a teacher at MNIT (Malaviya National Institute of Technology). And her father Manish Mittal runs a private business. Namita’s parents always supported her decision for CSE.

She had completed her schooling from Jaipur. She always had a dream to become an IAS officer. She wants to improve the education system for the children. She wants to educate the children of the disadvantaged sections. That is why she gave her best to clear the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

She first gave the civil services examination in 2016. This was her first attempt so, she did not have an idea about the preparation for the examination. She did a good preparation & cleared the exam. In 2016 she got selected in Indian Revenue Services (IRS). Before selecting in IRS she was also associated with an organization which was working for the orphans in Jaipur

She always wanted to improve the education for the children. That is why she thought to prepare well again & give one more attempt. She did a lot of hard work in her second attempt. This time her only goal is to clear the examination with a good rank so that she can become an IAS officer. And this time her hard work paid off. She has secured 12th rank in All Over India & become a national topper & made her parents proud.

The way she did a lot of hard work to achieve her dreams for the improvement of the country is truly motivational. We hope that all the aspirants will be motivated from her journey. So do well in your examination. All the best.
